Strategic Communications & Resources Development Summer Associate

What is PollyLabs?
PollyLabs is a nonprofit organization in the tech-for-good space. Our mission is to solve societal issues at scale through the use of existing technologies. We operate as a hybrid organization that functions as a think tank and startup studio.
We currently run three programs:

Exploration: Pinpoint high-impact opportunities where technology can solve critical challenges using cross-sector expertise

Incubation: Develop, test, and incubate successful solutions into viable ventures

Scale: Provide funding and capacity support to accelerate existing ventures
Over the next five years, the PollyLabs team will incubate, finance, and spin out approximately 25 mission-led, for-profit start-ups that repurpose technology to tackle major societal problems.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven intern to support our communications and fundraising work. This role is ideal for a graduate student interested in philanthropy, venture building, and high-impact social innovation. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to craft messaging, support donor engagement, and plan intimate events and webinars.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research on prospective donors, investors, and partners

Draft high-quality written materials, including donor outreach, reports, and op-eds

Support the planning and execution of events and webinars

Assist in shaping and implementing communications strategy and messaging

Help manage CRM and maintain relationship-tracking systems
Who is the ideal candidate?

Graduate student across marketing, MBA, MPA or other relevant sector

A strong writer and communicator with excellent attention to detail

Professional, reliable, and able to engage with senior stakeholders

Organized, resourceful, and proactive in identifying opportunities

Interested in venture philanthropy, social impact, or strategic communications
