What is PollyLabs?

PollyLabs is a startup studio & fund that incubates and backs impact ventures that leverage existing technologies to solve worthy problems. 

 

What is Bono? 

Bono is PollyLabs portfolio venture. They offer the simplest, most trusted and smartest way to donate and follow your impact: You tell us what you care about, decide on a monthly budget, and we go to work for you including vetting and selecting multiple charities and updating you regularly on your impact with full transparency. Bono is a fintech consumer startup - building the Robinhood of charitable donation, targeting 100M individual donors in the US alone. 

 

What will you work on? 

As an extern, you will be working on an exploratory project focused on donation as a service within the financial sector. It will include conducting thorough market research, analyzing industry trends, mapping out key players and potential opportunities, and performing stakeholder analysis to better understand how financial institutions can integrate donation services into their offerings. This role will require a blend of analytical skills and industry insight to help guide strategic decisions for the company's next stage of growth. 

 

Who is the ideal candidate?

• Strong ability to analyze data, market trends, stakeholders and industry dynamics to identify opportunities and challenges.

• Proficient in conducting thorough research and synthesizing insights, 

• Excellent critical thinker who can connect the dots quickly and contribute ideas and perspectives

• Enjoys unpacking ambiguous challenges and navigating the unknown 

• Strong communicator capable of communicating key findings to leadership

• Experience related to financial institutions and/or donation services/fundraising, a plus

• An optimist, with a good sense of humor and a can do attitude. 

 

We are looking for a student to join us for a 10 week externship starting at the beginning of October 2024. The position is unpaid. As an extern, you should anticipate working ~8/10 hours per week. Although the position is remote, we have an Upper West Side office available to work at.
